Aurora Real Estate Development: People, Principles, Processes |

At community meetings with Aurora and at public hearings, you have the opportunity to shape the design of a project
A city or county's comprehensive general plan sets forth that community's goals and policies for land use and development. Zoning ordinances translate those goals and policies into parcel-by-parcel standards, restrictions and requirements. Yet developers and communities have a great deal of flexibility in the design of the developments that get built. Aurora strives to design and build projects that not only comply with the letter of the law but that also embrace the desires, goals and sensibilities of communities. If we are building a project in your community, we want you to feel that our project makes your community a better place to live, to work, to shop and to play. To elicit the reactions, thoughts and design suggestions of community members, throughout the design phase of each complex project, Aurora holds a series of community meetings. At these meetings, Maria Etoile, our Director of Planning, our consultants and architects present design concepts and the thinking behind those concepts. Maria, our consultants and architects listen to your concerns, insights and suggestions. We look for ways to incorporate your ideas into the design of our projects. From one community meeting to the next, we modify and refine our plans to reflect the wishes of the community. At each new meeting, we present the modifications and refinements we have made since the previous meeting. If you would like for the design of our projects to benefit from your insights and thinking, commuicate them to us at our community meetings.
